Zamboanga's Beach and Food
Zamboanga City's close to the sea, so going to the beach can become a daily occurrence. The water's cool and clear, unlike in Cebu, where you still have to travel quite a distance just to find some good spots to enjoy the seawater and at an entrance fee that's worth well, more expensive than Mother Nature intended for us to afford.
After the marathon, the group and I headed to the Golf Beach, named as such since it's not just a beach park, but also a golf course. It's been a number of years since I last came here. I have been wanting to go to the beach for a while now, but unfortunately I wasn't ready for this trip, so I didn't take a dip in the water.
We were all motorcycle riders and because of gasoline prices, it's much much more practical to ride a motorcycle than a four-wheel vehicle.

Local wet market which sold cooked food as well |
Welcome to Golf Beach, we chose a table like this just so we can get as close to the water as possible and just in case the caretaker caught us, we won't have to pay too much for the table. :P
By the way, the entrance fee's just PhP20 for Adults and PhP10 for Children.
It may look like there's no sand on this beach, but that's just because the spot we chose was next to a low cliff. There's a staircase made out of rough rocks so people can get to the water. There is sand along the beach strip, so if you really want to feel the sand in between your toes, there's plenty of spots that have sand on them.
Here's what we bought from the market earlier. After eating, we were all definitely satisfied.
